Our Story
It was 1 week leading to our anniversary when my long-time girlfriend confessed that she is having a difficult time looking for the perfect gift. I asked her why and she said that there’s a lot of things that men want that women know nothing about. May it have something to do with hobbies, tech, tools, and gears, women have a hard time choosing the right item. She added, even if they knew what item, they still have to figure out what those things are for and why you need that certain feature on that thing.
I suddenly remembered all the times I was called up by my female friends asking me what would their partners want. They showed me a bunch of different items that I was certain he’s not gonna like and always end up searching for the gifts myself.
As I searched the internet, most gift guides for men are made by women and as I checked the content, I found that most recommendations aren’t really what men ought to receive. So I phoned 2 of my closest friends and asked them if they would be willing to start a blog with me with the goal of helping women choose the perfect gift for men and they agreed. So, on the very next day, we started this blog, What He Expects, and made it a mission to provide gift ideas and guides that men would actually like.
Why Trust Us?
As men ourselves, we know what we want, which is why we are able to give good recommendations. In addition to that, we gather information from other men by interviewing them according to their interests and showing them different items we think they might like. We make them choose, review, and recommend some of our recommended products.
Though we earn commissions on some of the items we recommend, we do not let it affect our decision making. We recommend items that we think men would like even if it has little to no commissions at all. Our main objective is to help you choose the perfect gift for your man.
